Team Building

Interpersonal Skills - Skills used to establish and maintain relationships with other people.

Motivating - You are a project manager and noticed one of a team member doesnt speak much during brainstorming meeting with other team members. You talked to that person individually and realised he has slightly hearing problem. He appreciated your concern. Therefore, you arrange another time and meeting room so all team member can participate.

Personality - refers to the individual differences in characteristic patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving.

character traits

1. extrovert – You have a team member in the team who you found difficult to communicate with. The team member is experienced in agile, and often coach junior team members and conduct training.

2. Perceiving – the team member tended push his thought/belief to others when other team members show disagreement and different ideas.


Emotional Intelligence - During a meeting, you pay attention to the emotion of yourself and others as the discussion gets heated.

Team charter - A document that records the team values, agreements, and operating guidelines, as well as establishing clear expectations regarding acceptable behavior by project team members.

Ground rules - defined in the team charter set the expected behavior for project team members, as well as other stakeholders, with regard to stakeholder engagement.

Communicating - review the communication plan.

Decision Making - Let the team member making decision

Facilitating – mentor a team member on leading an estimation session.

Managing conflict - handle conflict between team mate
