PERT - Program Evaluation Review Technique

Finish to Start (FS): - When an activity cannot start before another activity finishes. Activity Function X can not implement before the activity of Function Y completed, the XY relationship is FS. X must be started after Y has been finished

Start to Start (SS): - When two activities are able to start simultaneously

Finish to Finish (FF): - When two tasks need to finish together

Start to Finish (SF): - This is an uncommon dependency and only used when one activity cannot finish until another activity starts

Configuration Management System - Control versioning of all components

Configuration Management - activities such as how version control of project documents and changes to the product will be initiated, analyzed, and traced

PESTLE - Political, Economic, Social, Technical, Legal, Environmental

Change Control System - includes the forms, tracking methods, processes, and approval levels required for authorizing or rejecting requested changes

Rolling Wave Planning - a project with high-level project schedule for a 3 years contract, with a detailed design-phased schedule (like Iteration and sprint but not exactly same). The project keeps moving ahead in smaller waves while planning for the next wave to happen in the background.
